Guitar Rig

Load an amp model, put pedals in front of it and effects after it, and play. In your DAW or on its own.

Models that answer the knobs

A capture is usually one amp at one setting — turn it up and you need a different file. Guitar Rig runs those, and it also runs parametric models, where the controls still work. Gain, bass, mid, treble: the model responds the way the amp did.

Before and after

Pre effects into the amp, post effects out of it, in the order you would actually patch them. Nothing is fixed in place.

The open format

Guitar Rig plays NAM models — the open capture format, MIT licensed, with a large body of freely available captures already in it. Models you make elsewhere work here, and models you make here are not trapped.

In the session, or not

A plugin in your DAW when you are recording. A standalone application when you just want to play without opening one.
